AJ sat down in the club, looking at N-Zee. He had been quiet on the way over.

To be honest, none of them had felt like talking.

Everything had suddenly become so serious when they were attacked.

N-Zee ran over to the door behind the counter and shouted. "Mickey, Janny, get your asses in here now. We've got trouble."

Less than two seconds later the two mentioned came out of the door. Mickey turned pale as he saw Brian.

AJ studied his bandmate more, and felt like throwing up.

Brian was pale, his eyes didn't focuse and he was bleeding again.

Janny got something from under the counter and ran over, starting to look at Brian's wound. Mickey walked over with N-Zee, looking serious.

"What happened?" he finally said.

"Lion's" N-Zee replied. His blue eyes were like ice, and his voice sounded just as cold.

Mickey nodded, he had expected that. "I take it you know who?"

"Yeah"

Kevin looked at N-Zee. "I can't say I liked the way you got that information N-Zee"

N-Zee looked at him and smiled."I don't expect you to like it. But it's the way the game is played."

Turning to Janny he adds; "How is he?"

Janny looks up at him, shaking her head.

"We've gotta get him to Jordan's now, or he'll most likely never see again. Can't promise he'll live either, if we don't get moving fast."

N-Zee nods and turns to look at them all.

"Jordan is a doctor we use. He's good, don't worry. We can't go to the hospital, not unless you guys wants to get arrested. Doens't matter how much I try to tell them you had nothing to do with it, the cops really don't like me, or my friends. Now, help me get him into the car."

Kevin walks over to help him, and they all move out into the van again. Janny goes with them, and Mickey and a few others follow in another car.

********************

AJ woke up and looked around. It was all a blur.

One minute he had been in the van again, on his way to Jordan's. The next, he was sitting in a chair in something that looked like a waiting room.

He could see N-Zee, Nick, standing next to someone he assumed was this Jordan guy, and by the looks on their faces, whatever it was he was telling N-Zee wasn't good news.

AJ got up, determined to find out what was going on, but his feet gave away under him, and he fell over.

His vision became blurry again, and now darker. It was like he was blacking out in slow motion, and he had no idea on why.

N-Zee walked up to Jordan, who had just looked at Brian. His face was serious, but then again, it always was after he had looked at one of N-Zee's boys, or girls for that matter.

"So, Jordan, talk to me" he said, wishing that it was not serious.

"He has a concussion, a bad one. I've done what needs to be done for now. He will have to take it easy for at least a week, not sleep more than two hours at a time, and take this three times a day. It's for the pain. Make sure he doesn't take more, they're addictive."

N-Zee takes the painkillers Jordan hands him and nods. He had expected as much.

"How are the others?"

"They are fine. Cuts and bruises, it'll heal. AJ over there seems exhausted though. Make sure he eats, and gets some rest, and drinks a lot. He is on the verge of dehydration."

"I will" N-Zee replies, looking back at AJ who is still out of it.

"How is May" he finally asks. His buddy May had been shot in the head two months ago, and was still in a coma.

"No change. I don't think he will ever come out of it. You may wanna consider moving him to another place, like a hospital."

"Ain't gonna happen" he replies, and is about to talk again when he hears AJ fall over.

***

Kevin looks over at N-Zee again. They are on their way home, two of the guys sleeping. It had been agreed that they would stay at the club for now. They were supposed to go on tour soon, but they had rescheduled the entire thing, putting it back two months.

Tomorrow people would find that out. The reason would be that Brian had a concussion, and that they all needed some time to get some rest. They would be recording new songs during that time, something N-Zee had yet to agree with.

"So, Nick" he finally said.

N-Zee looked at him, and knew that they would have a talk now. God he hated that, but he knew it had to come sometime.

"Kevin"

"I didn't like what you did back there, but you helped us. I thank you for that."

"Don't mention it"

"What I want to know is what happens next. Where do we go from here?"

"We take the Lions out once and for all. With them still on the streets, you guys will never be safe. Don't worry though, I am not talking about killing them all. There are other ways, and now is the time to use them.

"Whatever, as long as we don't get killed in the process."

"You won't. Just remember, whatever happens, trust me. There are rules we all have to follow. You'll find that out soon enough."
