--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- He pushed his way out of the concert hall, trying to avoid being crushed by fans hurrying to the hotel where the Backstreet Boys are supposed to stay. He knew where it was, but had not intentions of going there, it was in the wrong part of town, the part where he could not show his face if he wanted to live to the the next sunrise. The April air was kinda chilly, and he was glad. He hated heat after being to a concert. Walking slowly over to his black convertible, he thinks about the concert. He had been in heaven. Never before had he been that close to HIM. He had been to many concerts all over the country, following the boys, never daring to get to close, never able to. A guy like him could never get to close, and besides, he had to step lightly in most of those cities as he weren't actually welcome in most of them. 'what you get for being me I suppose' he muttered as he opened his car. He had been born in New York state but had lived most of his life in New York City. With his parents working in a bar in one of the worst parts of town he had grown up in gangs. He had had a sister, but she had run away a few years back, right about the time he himself was planning to take off. He had been on his own for over four years, and he had been a so-called criminal since he was ten. He had had another sister, but she had died when he was eleven, and his mother had pretty much freaked after that. His dad simply split, leaving his mom with him and his sister. ***** He drove fast on the highway, back to his part of town. He had it good here. A place to live, his own club, in the bad part of town of course, but there were no arrest warrants on him here. He was pretty much staying out of trouble. His thoughts wandered back to the concert as he parked his car outside his club, Destination Unknown, and walked inside. ***** He had had eye contact with Him in the beginning, and that had been the most wonderful thing ever. His heart had skipped a beat when his eyes met those beautiful brown ones. HE hadn't had his sunglasses on, and he was pleased with that. He loved those brown eyes. After that he hadn't had any contact, but he’d had the best time of his life. No matter how many times he saw this concert, he loved it. The club was already jam packed, and he made his way to the back room, meeting up with his best friend Mickey and his girl Janny. "Yo N-Zee, how was the concert? Did you see your beloved?" Mickey asked from his place next to Janny, with a huge grin planted on his face. "You bet" he answered, grinning back. "So, you like the concert much?" He shakes his head at Mickey's question, well knowing that his best buddy is playing him, but making it look like he is upset. He doesn't really succeed. "Mickey, it's a boyband. If it hadn't been for short and beautiful I wouldn't be there ya know. And besides, the freakin' crowd gave me one hell of a headache so don't mess with my head right now k?" Mickey laughs as he walks over to N-Zee, holding his nose and making a face.. "Geez man, you need a shower. You smell like something the cat dragged in" N-Zee looks at Mickey with an annoyed look, then smiles at him. This had been a tiring day, but it had been worth it, and now he had to party. "I'll change into my normal gear, and then we're gonna freekin' party" "N-Zee, I'm with ya on that one" N-Zee smiles as he walks over to the stairs leading up to his room. He lived above the bar along with Mercy, his two year old Doberman. Tumbling before he could find the light switch he pets her as he changes into black leather pants, another black tank top and some funky sunglasses that fit perfectly with the rest when he has them on his head. Ready to go back down he takes one look at the poster of Him that hangs inside his closet door, where no one could see it. Thinking about those brown eyes again he grabs a hold of himself and walks back down and into the club through a different door. He finds himself behind the bar disk, and is about to move on to the dance floor as his eyes meets someone elses and he freezes. ***** Music. Light. Noise. Girls. Darkness. Movement. Flashing. Darkness. Silence. AJ's actions and his thoughts were mixed together as he walked off the stage and into the backstage area along with the other guys. This had been a wonderful night, a perfect night, and it had nothing to do with the concert. OK, so that was part off it, but only a little. The main reason was a pair of blue eyes. 'Killer blue eyes' he thought to himself, smiling. "What are you smiling at Bone?" AJ turns around and looks into Justin's face. His curly hair is wet from sweating, and the bleached tips don't look too good. His face is lit up in a smile. Young as he was he didn't know much about girls AJ thought, but he did know his own little secret, the one thing he didn't think he could ever tell anyone else. Not even his mother. The four other backstreet boys were the only ones who knew, and that was the way it was going to stay. His security had no idea, he always slipped away when he was going to that kind of bars, and he was always disguised so no one would recognize him. He knew he could not hide it forever, that he had to tell his family, and the world, about it soon. But not know. "Guess Justin" "Hm, someone special. Like say, blonde hair, blue eyes. Someone like that?" “How did you...” "I know your type AJ. Geez, you filled out heads with how gorgeous Spike from Buffy the vampire slayer is the last time we saw it." AJ had to laugh, especially since Justin had been the one who wanted to watch the episode in the first place. Something about Buffy being a hottie or whatever. Justin looks at him and laughs back, putting his hand on AJ's shoulder. "So, are you gonna come with us tonight. Kevin’s girlie says she knows about this great place downtown. It's not in the best neighborhood but she says I'll get in and it's pretty safe there. So, what do you say?" AJ looks at him for a moment. If it's a place where Justin can come in they either don't serve alcohol or they simply don't give a shit. The place being in the bad part of town made the last one the best choice. They would have to be careful. "I'll join ya." he says, adding "But first I'm gonna take a shower, and so should you" he says, sniffing at Justin, who quickly takes his hand down from AJ's shoulder and looks at him with a serious face, trying to look offended. "We'll be going in about an hour. They are sending some look-alikes to the hotel, so we can pretty much walk around, but not too openly. See ya in an hour" he says and he runs off to get to a place he can shower. AJ looks at him as he runs, and then heads to his personal car which drives him off to the hotel they are staying at. Sitting down in the backseat he closes his eyes, and the image of blue eyes fills his head. ***** / He had been trying to get a glimpse of Blue Eyes ever since the beginning, but he couldn't see him anywhere. It was too dark over the audience, and he was trying to stay focused at the same time. Not an easy job. In his mind he saw the blonde hair and blue eyes, his eyes saw darkness and moving shadows. For once he wished he would be able to see all the fans faces clearly, just this once. \ ***** AJ gets out of the car and walks up the stairs to his hotel room. He liked this hotel, it had a swimming pool. He didn't know if he wanted to stay here or go home to Florida. They had after all a week off to relax before they had to start writing songs and working on the new album. But right now there was nothing he wanted more than to stay here and try to find Blue Eyes again. His clothes find themselves dropped in a pile as AJ gets into the shower, turning it on as hot as he can take, trying to get his mind off Blue Eyes. It doesn't work. ***** /He was singing Back To Your Heart, sitting down on the edge of the stage while Nick and Kevin were playing. He looked into the audience, trying to spot Blue Eyes and that bleached blonde hair. He almost forgot the words to the song as his eyes found blonde hair, bleached blonde hair. He couldn't catch his eyes, yet AJ felt his heart skip a beat anyways. That man sure was a beauty, and by the looks of it he had an attitude as well. Two things he liked in a man. 'wonder if he's gay?' \ ***** He shook his head to get rid of the thoughts as he stepped out of the shower, quickly drying himself off before it got too cold. He found some clean boxers and wandered into the room to see if he could spot some clothes he could wear. His eyes rested on a pair of red leather pants, a dark red tank top and a black leather jacked. Adding his black new cowboy hat on his head, and sunglasses on his nose, he was ready to go. He loved this wicked style, and hopefully no one would recognize him. The other guys were already ready, and he was the last person into the car that Kevin was driving. It looked nothing like what the Backstreet Boys would drive, and nothing you would want to steal either. "Hey Bone, what took you so long?" Howie asks as he sits down next to him. AJ looks at him with a grin, and is about to answer when Justin speaks up. "We was probably thinking about that blonde guy he saw at the concert" he says, grinning wickedly at AJ. Brian looks at AJ and tries to look surprised. "What blonde?" he says, looking at Justin this time, saying "You know something that I don't Curly? Spill!" Justin looks at Brian, trying to pull off a serious face, nothing he ever succeeds in doing. "He told me he saw someone, and you KNOW what he thinks about blondes" Brian looks back at AJ. "So, have anything to say Mr. I'm-too-much-a-man-to-tell-you?" AJ laughs at the scene that is taking place in front of him. Brian and Justin were always goofing around. The were like brothers. They all were like brothers really, but those two acted alike, thought alike and talked alike. 'Scary' "Nothing much to say Brian. I saw hm twice, on the front row I think." "Well, what did he look like?" Kevin puts in. Sitting up front with Howie he has to drive the car and try to keep track on their crazy conversations at the same time, something that is not always easy. "He was about your hight Kev, dressed in a black tank top. His hair seemed to be naturally blonde, but it was bleached platinum blonde or something. It looked so crazy, I loved it. His face was beautiful, and those eyes" Brian and Justin smiles to each other and burst out laughing. "Sorry Bone" Brian says when he is finished. "Go on" "As I was saying, his eyes were so blue you wouldn't believe it. I have never in my life seen eyes so beautiful." Kevin stops the car and turns around to look the the guys, a huge grin planted on his face. "AJ, you saw all this when?" "At the beginning off the concert." "And how long did you see him?" Howie puts in. "Oh say five seconds or something like that. Why?" Brian shakes his head and starts to laugh, trying to talk at the same time. "You should be in the police of something Bone. I can't imagine how you can make a description like that based on what you saw for five seconds" AJ looks at him and laughs as well. "I'm a pro Brian, pro. You know that." "Lets go" Justin says, who finally noticed that they were there. No point in sitting in the car when they could be inside having fun. AJ gets out of the car and waits for the others and they walk together into the club. The place is jam-packed with people off all ages, races and sexes. He sees girls and boys down to fifteen years dancing with people who look like they are thirty something. A majority of the people are dressed in tank tops, sporting the same blue star tattoo. ‘some sort of gang symbol?’ he asks himself. Looking around again, he spots more blue stars, and he figures that he is right. It has gotta be a gang symbol. He makes a mental not to stay away from people with that particular tattoo. Turning to Kevin who is standing right behind him he asks. "What's the name of this place anyways?" "Destination Unknown"

This story may be based on real people, but it is not about real events. I do not know the Backstreet Boys, nor am I in any way affiliated with them, their friends, family or management.
